Blogs are already an important (and free!) source of inspiration and information and will only become more and more significant in deciphering future codes in fashion, design and lifestyle. From time to time, Hall Five will be highlighting some of what we consider to be the best of the best. I have always had a passion for chinoiserie (defined as “A style in art reflecting Chinese influence through use of elaborate decoration and intricate patterns”) and was excited recently to discover a blog devoted to its application. Chinoiserie Chic by Beth Connolly is devoted to chic Chinoise interiors. Beth recently entered the contest started by Emily Henderson, I’m a Giant Challenge to decorate a doll’s house with incredible results.
